DBM06 event. As a recognized symbol of quality, the Circle of
Excellence Award is presented by the Distribution Business Management
Association (DBM) to leading companies in various industries, who
represent the highest standards of quality and technology, providing a
model and goal for all businesses. The winning recipient is chosen by a
majority vote of our nation’s universities. The 2005 award was
presented to CVS. The award is usually presented to the president and or
vice president of the winning company. The 2004 award was presented to
Dell Computer for excellence in the computer industry. The 2003 award was presented to Kraft Foods for
excellence in the food industry. The 2002 Award was given to Lockheed
Martin for excellence in the area of defense distribution. The 2001
Award was presented to Coors Brewing Co. for excellence in the beverage
industry. The 2000 winner was Roadway Express for excellence in ground
transportation. The 1999 winner for excellence in retail logistics was
Sears, Roebuck and Co. The 1998 winner was UPS. The 1997 recipient was
Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc., who received the award for
