Dynamic Distribution Lab
The Distribution Business Management Executive Educational Conference offers a one-of-a-kind distribution lab featuring
cutting edge solutions for the distribution industry.
Lab participants include leading companies from consulting, software,
hardware, transportation and materials handling industries. This unique
educational exhibit is the only applied technology exhibit that allows
attendees to learn how to solve their own distribution and logistics
problems, in an interactive hands-on environment. All participating
companies collaborate in an educational environment to create a unique
hands-on course that is taught to distribution professionals over the
course of a three-day period. The course provides a high-level overview
of the supply chain with particular emphasis on streamlining distribution
operations.
The applied technology course is offered as a single track with fifteen
classes presented over two days. Each class is supervised by a university
professor to ensure absolute objectivity and accuracy of the subject
matter.
A team of systems and project engineers organize the lab to
incorporate state-of-the-art solutions, advanced technology and equipment
covering the supply chain and distribution industry. The lab has been the educational
hallmark for the association over the last decade.
Through participant and attendee input the lab continues to
evolve and improve.
-
The lab is part of a four credit
class for our Certificate of Advanced Education which leads to a
Specialists Diploma in Distribution, Business Management, (SDBM).
This program is overseen by a diverse University Board with over sixty
universities represented by professors from many of the world’s leading
academic institutions. The 2006 diploma is being awarded by a leading University. This program is only open to qualified professionals in
distribution, logistics and supply chain management.
-
Incorporating the lab into the educational
program, allows each participating company to inform attendees about the
benefits of their products or services. Working closely with
the various universities involved gives your company additional contacts
within our industry. Participation in this educational atmosphere, which includes
many networking opportunities, encourages the formation of solid
relationships with attendees (many of whom will become prospects).
-
New relationships continue to develop with sponsoring publications.
This expanded involvement brings with it, monthly editorial features on
the Dynamic Distribution Lab and the Distribution Business Management Conference. Monthly coverage on the exciting
developments taking place within this unique hands on learning
environment will provide valuable marketing opportunities to
corporations involved in the lab.
-
The Lunch and Learn sessions are an added
marketing and networking tool for 2006. This year the
Association will offer exhibitors the opportunity to sponsor a Lunch and
Learn Table at the conference where they may choose a topic of their
choice and offer lunch and education to an audience of ten luncheon attendees.
