Biography: 

Currently a Professor of Industrial Engineering at the University of New Haven, Dr. Sommers is also Coordinator of the Logistics Certificate program. He is a past president of the Connecticut Association of Purchasing Management, and a former president of a die casting foundry in New Haven. With this extensive experience, he is a consultant and presenter on supply chain management issues and solutions, and the author of many publications.  He holds degrees from Cornell and Rutgers, and the doctorate from Purdue University.
