Leadership in Supply Chain Education

For over a decade, DBMA, the Distribution Business Management Association has created "innovative firsts” for the supply chain and distribution industries. The Association operates as a unique think tank with a proven track record of originating trends and innovations in the areas of professional education.

Timeline of DBMA Firsts:

2005 Supply Chain Leaders in Action Program.
2003
The first to recognize the importance of securing supply chain operations through the Circle of Excellence Award.
2002
The first to offer the Specialist Diploma in Distribution Business Management.
2001
The first to publish a hybrid referred/industry journal covering the distribution industry.
2000
The first organization to create a multiple day applied technology course that teaches attendees the nuts and bolts of material handling, distribution, and supply chain strategies.
1999
DBM expands its supply chain certification program to encompass recognition on an international scale.
1998
The first organization to offer meaningful distribution and supply chain educational seminars on the trade show floor exposing attendees to the latest trends in the industry.
1997
The first to offer an inter-University recognized certification program for the distribution and supply chain industry.
1996
DBM goes International. The Warehouse of the Future exhibit and educational program is presented to an international audience of 300,000 in Hanover, Germany.
1995
The first live integrated exhibit, the Warehouse of the Future, combined with a trade show exposition for the distribution industry.
1993
DBM creates the prestigious Circle of Excellence Award acknowledging corporations for environmental stewardship in their supply chains.
1992
The first organization to offer a unique integrated educational program called the “Warehouse of the Future”.
