Dell was founded in 1984 by Michael
Dell, the computer industry's longest-tenured chief executive officer,
on a simple concept: that by selling computer systems directly to
customers, Dell could best understand their needs and efficiently
provide the most effective computing solutions to meet those needs.
Headquartered in Round Rock, Texas, Dell is a premier provider of
products and services required for customers worldwide to build their
information-technology and Internet infrastructures.
One clear and consistent focus has
driven Dell's rise and success in becoming the world's leading
computer systems company: To meet and exceed the requirements of
customers - large and small - across the world. The same focus on
business efficiencies and customer satisfaction helps drive Dell's
environmental stewardship program to conserve product energy
consumption, reduce or eliminate materials for disposal, prolong
product life span and provide effective and convenient equipment
recovery solutions. By streamlining business steps and processes, Dell
minimizes stress on the environment while achieving speed,
responsiveness and cost savings that are passed along to customers.
Dell's vision is to create a company culture where
environmental excellence is second nature. Our mission is to fully
integrate environmental stewardship into the business of providing
quality products, best-in-class services, and the best customer
experience at the best value.
Dell is committed to managing its
growth and interacting with the community in ways that make sense for
the environment and help to ensure its communities maintain an
attractive quality of life. An integral part of Dell's environmental

employees to environmental organizations. Dell sponsors programs to
